About the First Lady

First Lady
Evangelist Valerie Boyd
“Welcome to New Greater Bethel Ministries. We pray that you will encounter God in a special way today, for this is the day that the Lord has made and we have all come to rejoice and be glad in it.”
Evangelist Valerie Boyd is an anointed gospel recording artist, songwriter, keyboardist, ordained evangelist, and the First Lady of New Greater Bethel Ministries in Queens Village, NY.
Born into a family of singers in Greenville, North Carolina, her musical journey began at age three singing in her grandfather’s church. Her extraordinary talent earned her a voice and piano scholarship to Carnegie Hall by age 16, followed by classical training at the High School of Music & Art and Hofstra University.
Evangelist Boyd’s music career spans traditional, hand-clapping gospel to contemporary worship. Beginning as a lead soloist for New York City Family, she launched a celebrated solo career with her breakout album Interpretations 1 (landing her on the cover of Cash Box Magazine) and subsequent projects including Interpretations 2, Symphony of the Heart, Victory, and Back Home Live, featuring her hit single “Get Me Out Jesus.”
Her musical versatility has taken her to stages worldwide alongside legendary ministers and artists, including Bishop T.D. Jakes, Dr. Bobby Jones, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, and CeCe Winans. Beyond the stage, she is the founder of Valsings Vocal School, where she has mentored premier gospel vocalists, including Dr. Judith McAllister and Prophetess Juanita Bynum.
In 2014, following a miraculous one-month recovery from bilateral knee replacement surgery, she released her powerful rendition of “Come on in the Room”—a song that continues to bring healing, hope, and restoration to listeners everywhere.
Above all her accomplishments, Evangelist Valerie Boyd is a devoted wife, mother of three, and grandmother committed to transforming lives through the message of Jesus Christ across the nation and around the globe. Have questions or want to reach out? We’d love to hear from you.
